What we collect
Enquiry details (name, email, chosen service and message), plus basic technical data such as IP address and request logs, which the hosting provider processes.
Why we use it
To respond to enquiries, discuss possible work and keep business correspondence. Our lawful bases are steps taken at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in handling genuine enquiries. Providing details is optional, but without them we may not be able to respond.
Who processes it
Our hosting and protection provider, our form handling provider and our email provider. Some processing may happen outside the UK, using appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
Unsuccessful or general enquiries are normally kept for up to 12 months. Correspondence tied to a client relationship may be kept longer for delivering work, business records or legal obligations.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, erasure or restriction of your data, or object to its use, including processing based on legitimate interests, by emailing hello@thewebcartel.co.uk. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
